Workshop Purpose
Foster a Collaborative Community of Researchers:
Bring together experts in religion, non-ordinary experiences, and mental health to share methods and findings, enhancing collaborative research.
Capacity Building and Enhancing Advanced Skills:
Advance expertise in the study of spiritual and religious experiences within the social and human sciences, broadening academic and practical understanding.
Focus on Methodology:
The importance of measuring and validating human experiences that challenge our day-to-day understanding for research in diverse Brazilian contexts, with implications for mental health and spirituality.
Promote Engagement:
Encourage active participation and exchange through interactive formats including hands-on practical and interactive poster sessions, fostering a vibrant scholarly community.
Build a Research Network:
Create a foundation for ongoing collaboration among emerging research leaders focused on the intersection of psychology, neuroscience, spirituality, and religion.
Participant Profile
The workshop aims to promote knowledge about religion, nonordinary experiences (NOEs) and mental health through the dissemination of measurement instruments and their results. Therefore, we seek to bring together researchers and postgraduate students in disciplines related to the topic (religious studies, psychology, cognitive sciences, biological sciences, among others).
